Truxor – Water and Wetland Management

The Truxor amphibious machine is a versatile, multipurpose piece of equipment designed to operate effectively in both aquatic and marshy environments. It is widely used for wetland management, maintenance of surface water conveyances, controlling aquatic vegetation, removing algae, dredging, and other tasks. Its small size and low ground pressure allow the Truxor to work in tight spaces and sensitive environments where conventional machinery can’t.

Key features include:

Amphibious Mobility
The Truxor is equipped with a set of rubber belted tracks mounted on buoyant pontoons. These allow it to float and maneuver in water while also being able to cross land, mud, and marshy terrain.

Lightweight Construction:
Made from aluminum and other corrosion-resistant materials, it is light enough to float but robust enough for heavy lifting. The low ground pressure prevents damage to fragile wetland ecosystems. The total weight of the Truxor is less than 6,000 pounds, making it easily towable by a one-ton pickup truck, with no need for a CDL license.

Modular Tool Carrier:
The front of the machine features a hydraulic lift arm with a quick-coupler system, allowing for easy tool swapping. Common attachments include:

  • Cutting heads (for aquatic weeds like reeds, cattails, and lilies).
  • Rakes for removing cut material and loosely rooted aquatic plants.
  • Grapples for removing large debris.
  • Dredging buckets for mechanical dredging.
  • Suction pumps for hydraulic dredging.

The Truxor can be driven into the water from the shore without the need for a boat ramp.   It uses tracks or water propulsion to reach the work site. The hydraulic system uses a vegetable-based oil that will not contaminate the environment in the event of a hose failure. When done, the Truxor can return to land under its own power, and tools can be swapped quickly for the next task!
