Location

Introduction
This stormwater landscaping project was designed to reduce pollution found in stormwater runoff in the Pike River Watershed. Phase 1, which was completed in 2025, occurred at the intersection of Parking Lot C and University Drive on the south end of the UW-Parkside campus. The project included a regenerative stormwater conveyance system, which was comprised of large boulders and mulch surrounding the stormwater drain, as well as native plugs and stormwater trees. The project area will receive continued maintenance from the terrestrial team through 2027.
Details
The original plan set for the project did not seem to be accurate or lay out the project set up as intended. We were able to meet with the University officials and other stakeholders to modify the plan and resolve the issues.
